I was reading on another board about how a lot of them are being banned from listing items on Ebay because of receiving low stars. Now some of these guys still have 4.7 or 4.8, but because they have been dinged on more than a couple of items, they are not allowed to sell.

So as a seller, if 3 people out of 100 think my shipping charges are too high, even though I LOSE money on shipping cost, I can have my account banned? Really?

I know this whole stars thing has been beating to death, but it seems there has been a rash of sellers being banned lately. It seems they are wielding the bam hammer a little much for really stupid things.

I have a bunch of items up right now, but I am charging for shipping. Makes me a little nervous...

I just sold something and took a loss on shipping. It seems that has to be part of any sellers business model.

As a buyer I love low shipping, but I will usually factor shipping into the total price and decide from there if I want to bid.

eBay is really getting stupid on some things.

As far as shipping, I am charging $2.79 for the first graded card and then $1.00 for each additional. If the buyer gets to the point where Priority Flat Rate is cheaper, I use and charge for that service.

Doug, Does 2.79 even cover the cost of a bubble mailer, delivery confirmation and first class USPS?
Ebay is becoming a wreck, someone needs to step up and market a new forum for selling eh.

The one graded card in a bubble mailer with D/C is about $2.15. I don't remember what I paid for the bubble mailer as I bought a case a couple of years ago. I don't think they were more than 20 cents each. If I have only one to mail, it's probably close to $3.00 if you add the cost of gas to go to the PO. So when there is more than 1, it's probably around what it cost.
