Who is going? Just booked my room and waiting on airline tickets....The 2010 show was awesome. The convention center is easily accessible from the airport on public transportation and Camden yard is next door. Hope to see you there.

It would be a great marketing opportunity for VCP...but the booths are very expensive...You could print up some flyers and we could hand them out or see if the National could include a flyer in the VIP packages.

We did shows the first 2 years after we launched and found it a mixed bag. A lot of people came by for demo's and of course our hook was to give them free pricing. Actually sign ups while at the show was not the best. I think it is tough for us to be there because people are on the hunt for cards. The sign ups come later after the show when they get home and look at our flyers and remember the demo's we give. Going to talk to my partner Carlos and see what we can do and maybe we will show up. Most likely we will be sharing a booth with SGC since they owe us a spot.

Setting up with SGC would be a great idea...Also you might want to think about running a National special. Something like a 5 day subscription for 10.00...VCP is the ultimate weapon to have with you during the National when negotiating prices. Very useful on my ipad to show dealers the realized price and not the ASKING price.

I agree, would be awesome to be at the National. If not this year then wait till Chicago so I can stop by and say hi.

A buddy and I will be there Saturday and Sunday. Maybe Friday if the airline gets us there early enough.


This will be my first National, so I'm pretty excited. One question for the vets of the show, will I get better deals on Sunday where it's getting ready to close?

Ted, I'm not sure since I always leave on Saturday. But I have heard alot of dealers leave early. Hope to see you there.

My experience is that good deals can happen on Sunday. BUT... I have gone twice on Sunday. Last year I was working a deal with a guy from Alaska. I tried to squeeze him a little more by waiting to finish the deal on Sunday, I failed. Somebody else got it late on Saturday. Things can sell quick at the National. I would recommend getting the deal whenever you feel comfortable. Then go bargain hunting on Sunday.

That's some good advice Shawn, thanks for the heads up. I think I will strike Saturday if I find something I HAVE to have, then just cruise the floor Sunday looking for bargains and just taking it all in.

Kirk, that would be cool to meet some folks I only know from online there. I had thought about putting a name tag on with my username just to see if anyone walked up and said hello. It would be nice to put some faces to names and to meet the people behind the postings.

I've already decided to forgo the autographs and give away booths. I'm sure most will have long lines and I don't want to waste precious time there standing in line. I'd rather be cruising the tables looking to see what's available.

I have heard rumors there will be a Net54 dinner on Friday night across the street from the Convention Center, you should try and attend. Food and drinks are free and the speakers are very interesting. When it gets closer we need to all talk about meeting up...Normally everyone ends up at the BBCE booth.

I had read in the past about the Net54 dinner, but had no idea what it was about. Sounds like a great time, I will have to check it out.
