Hi there

I'm looking for some advice really, I believe I may have a set of the above mentioned cards and suspect they could well be originals and not reproductions. Basically my Uncle was one of the biggest traders of cards in the UK and a good few years ago he gave my father the collection of what I've now found out is called Copes Golfers. This is all 50 cards and they are currently framed on my fathers wall. There's obviously the possibility that they could be reprints but knowing who my uncle was I suspect they may not be too. I've done a little research and If these cards are indeed the originals then it seems they could be worth quite a bit.

I basically want to know how I check to verify the cards? I've not taken them out of the frame so haven't inspected them in detail.

Any advice or thoughts on these cards would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Why would you tell him to check out the 54 board? Post some images here and we should

be able to give you a good evaluation. I really don't think that set was reprinted so you

should be safe.

Hope I didn't spook him. Golf cards from the early 1900's are very nice.
