- Set Description:
- Sporting Life of Philadelphia issued these cards starting in 1902 until 1911. The fronts are black & white photos mounted on heavy cardboard mattes. With the player's name, team, league and position underneath the photo. The backs are blank and not numbered. Since the cards where distributed over a large span of years there are multiple images of the same players on different teams. Mattes also came in various colors and styles.
