- S.F. Hess & Co. issued this very rare set of California League cards toward the end of the 1880's. The fronts are photos of the players with their name and position below an arched "California League", below that is the S.F. Hess logo and "Creole Cigarettes. Cards are not numbered and the backs are blank.
